Here’s a fun project that you can make that will amaze your friends. When done, a tiny jack is contained inside a cube with a hole in it. How did they get in there? How was it made? The kit includes an aluminum cube to practice on and a brass cube for your finished puzzle. Producing the finished cube requires a series of drilling and boring processes explained in the step-by-step illustrated instructions that come with the kit.
Detailed Equipment List You Will Need for this Project
- 4-Jaw Self-Centering Chuck
- Chuck Adapter for the rotary table
- 3/8″ diameter end mill holder
- 1/8″ End Mill, 3/8″ Shank
NOTE: If you already own a CNC mill you do not need a rotary table. You can, instead, write a G-code sequence to accomplish the task.
What’s Included:
The kit includes both an aluminum and a brass billet of 3/4″ square stock cut to slightly over 3/4″ long ready for you to make this interesting puzzle on your Sherline mill. Included are a 3/8″ end mill holder, a 1/8″ End Mill, a 3/8″ Shank (2-Flute), a key ring, machinable wax, and instructions.
